I have been waiting all summer for this weekend! Why you ask?
To quote Eminem and Jay Z:
“Never been afraid to say what’s on my mind at,
any given time of day
Cause I’m a RENEGADE!
Never been afraid to talk about
anything (ANYTHING) anything (ANYTHING),
The Renegade Craft Fair is in Chicago (more specifically my neighborhood) this weekend.
This large-scale DIY event was created in 2003 as a way to showcase the best of independent artists and handmade items. Renegade has traveled all over the country, visiting far flung hipster destinations like Austin and Brooklyn. But I prefer my hipsters homegrown in the Midwest. Cause I'm a RENEGADE!
So head over to Wicker Park this Saturday and Sunday. This free arts & crafts (and fashion too) extravaganza will run both days from 11am to 7pm. Over 300 vendors will stretch down Division St between Damen and Paulina (with some special craft stations set up on Wood St). If you plan to make a day of it, check out this fabulous neighborhood guide on Covet Chicago.
My plans include dog walking/ stopping in at Cattails for some flowers/ taking pictures/ and checking out these fabulous vendors:
